Following a hugely successful Quiz night at The Local Inn, we are delighted to inform you that a total of €2,300 was raised around this event. This included the Quiz itself, a raffle on the night and a second online raffle for which the results are below. For the winners below, please make contact with us through ClubZap or contact a member of the Ballyea Fundraising Committee to organise the collection of your prize. 

We would like to thank all those who supported us through entering quiz teams, buying raffle tickets and sponsoring prizes for the raffle. The support really was immense and greatly appreciated by all of us. Our two winning teams also deserve acknowledgement, not only for their quizzing prowess but for donating back their winnings. A fabulous gesture and one which needs recognition. The winning team was captained by Brian Russell and accompanied by Dave and Tracey Hickey. Una McNamara captained the runners up and was ably assisted by Lorraine Guilfoyle, Colette Kelly and Aisling Barry.

A special thanks to Derrick O’Connor of The Local Inn for providing the venue for us and being so accommodating in the lead up to the event. The are numerous businesses and persons who sponsored spot prizes for our raffle, a big thank you to all of you. To those that helped out on the night with collecting sheets or selling raffle tickets, thank you. Such a coming together was a great example of the community spirit that thrives in Ballyea and its environs.

Finally, the night would not have been what it was without the fantastic help and skills from our two MC’s, Reggie O’Connor and John “Jacko” Griffin. Big thanks to you both for offering your time and effort to help us run such a successful event. We look forward to the year ahead and putting these funds to good use as we continue to promote and grow Camogie within Ballyea and provide the best possible facilities for all girls associated.
